The purpose of this consulting research paper is to take a deep dive in the lodging outlook in one of the most popular and fastest growing countries and cities for tourism in the world. From the high level overview we would like to know the history, current state, and future of travel in Spain.
But more detailed we want to focus on lodging in Madrid. Traditional lodging(hotels) vs alternative lodging(airbnbs/apart hotels/new types of real estate/hotels with no staff). We want to look at the regulations in madrid, the hospitality labor market, the most successful operators, and most importantly the future.
We also want to find out if more real estate is being sold or developed for the purposes of lodging. We want to look at leisure stays, business stays, multi-generational group travel, mid term stays (30 days to 6 months), student stays, nomads, ect..
